What are the stages in the "follow to join" process?

You can start the "follow to join" process for qualifying family members by filing Form I-824. After you have filed the I-824, your family can start the process of applying for an immigrant visa.  Follow to join procedures vary from consulate to consulate, so you should check with the consulate that has jurisdiction over your family's place of residence for detailed instructions.
