USCIS will send an application receipt notice. They will send a notification telling the applicant when to go to the fingerprinting location to get fingerprinted. Once the background check has been completed,
USCIS will notify the applicant about the date, time and place for the interview. If the applicant passes the
citizenship test, he or she will be intimated about the oath ceremony. After taking the
oath of allegiance, the applicant becomes a citizen of the U.S.
